Hi there! I’m Kyndal – I love old homes, romanticizing the Midwest, and documenting nostalgic photographs to fill your family photo album with. style

  • A woman smiling stands on the steps of a brick townhouse with white columns, black door, and large windows.
  • A gray house with a wooden balcony, a brick chimney, and an American flag hanging from a pole. The house is surrounded by green trees and grass, with sunlight filtering through the leaves.
  • Family of four posing outdoors in a wooded area. The father carries a young girl on his shoulders, and the mother holds a toddler girl. All are smiling and casual dressed.

I met my husband at a college house party (in the literal basement) where there was a jug of jungle juice and a jungle costume theme to go with it. Matt was wearing leopard print leggings – it was love at first sight. We played beer pong, and the rest is history.

  • Family playing on a blanket in their backyard, with a man holding a baby, and a woman lifting a child playfully in front of a house.
  • A woman sitting on grass with two smiling young girls, one girl hugging her and the other holding a flower in a garden with blooming pink and white flowers and an old wooden building in the background.

Fast forward 7+ years and we have two sweet girls – Margot & Sloane – and spend our free time out on our pontoon, fixing up our 100+ year old home, plotting our next family vacation, and watching the Sopranos after dark.

  • Collage of photos including a woman and two children outside a house, a map of Minnesota, a child with binoculars, a child eating a cookie, a woman holding a mug, a photo of a house in a wooded area, and a note reading 'Minnesota February '24'.
  • A scrapbook photo collage featuring children and adults at a festival or fair. Photos include children in colorful outfits, a group of women in traditional dresses, children in strollers, and a woman holding a young girl. Decorations like flowers and cut-out illustrations of tulips are also present.

    The Art of Romanticizing

I love to romanticize our little life – each of our girls has a baby book, and I have a family scrapbook every year where I document what went on in our lives. I used to feel silly about my constant need to photograph and document it all – but now I fully LEAN into it. I do it for me, but mostly I do it for our kids, their future kids, and so on. Someday our great grandkids will page through our 2024 family scrapbook, and that thought makes it all worth it. xoxo

hi, i’m kyndal – you’re probably wondering how i ended up here!

I have always gravitated towards photography. Growing up, I was constantly requesting a digital, disposable, or polaroid camera for Christmas. I would take pictures of random inanimate objects all over the place, and call it ~art~. I was the one at parties that insisted we all pose for a group shot with the handy dandy 10 second timer. Oh, and my camera was definitely pink at the time, lol.

After college, I quickly learned that sitting at a desk from 8-5, staring at a screen, going to board meetings, and answering a phone, was not a lifestyle that would fulfill me. So in May of 2018, I bought my fancy camera and started building my photography portfolio!

A woman taking a mirror selfie, holding a camera, smiling, wearing a denim jacket, black shirt, and red-and-white checkered pants, with a yellow door and checkered floor in the background.
A heart shape outlined with orange leaf-like shapes, with the word 'POP' written inside in matching orange leaf shapes.
A close-up of a curled piece of white tissue paper with torn edges.

In two months of doing photos for free, I photographed 50+ couples, families, seniors, brands, literally anyone that asked me to take photos for them, I said yes to! From this time of saying yes over and over again, I figured out where my passion lies: photographing people in love and their growing families!

I went from having 1 wedding in 2018, to 12 weddings in 2019, to 35+ in 2020, and so on. *happy tears*. In 2022, I added my “milestones collection” into the mix and now have the honor of documenting some of the most important years of my clients’ lives with their growing families.

Client Love Notes

  • Deanna + Bryan

“Kyndal and her team did such an amazing job photographing our engagement and wedding. They gave us direction but let us be "us" and the pictures turned out PERFECT! I'm confident that no one else could have captured our day and love better. Going through our gallery felt like living the day all over again. I can feel every emotion with each picture. She captured some moments that I didn't even notice! Kyndal, we're so grateful for you and can't wait to hang every single picture on our walls! Already looking for a reason to book her again. :)”

  • “Kyndal has photographed us for a maternity session and a family session. Both shoots I asked Kyndal to make our photos feel like art and she 100% delivered. Kyndal curated our time with her into photographs that beg to be printed and enjoyed for years to come. 10/10 recommend her as a photographer to help you romanticize your life as it is right now.”

    The Moore Family

  • “Kyndal is seriously the best of the best! She was so excited to photograph our big day from the moment we reached out and kept in touch throughout the entire planning process. Being able to have our engagement session with Kyndal as well helped us form a better relationship and made the wedding day even more comfortable. She was a joy to be around for the entire day and was so friendly to us and all of our guests and wedding party, while still kicking butt and documenting everything we wanted. Our wedding gallery turned out BEAUTIFUL and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The Sneak Peek gallery that we received right after the wedding was also amazing to give a look into the full gallery. I would recommend Kyndal to anyone and everyone!”

“When I first came across Kyndal’s work I knew I wanted her to capture our next moments in life. Her work is exquisite and genuine. Her eye for beauty and creativity is magical.

We have chosen the milestone collection for our first baby and have loved working with her. Our photos have turned out beautiful and genuine and there is no sense of awkwardness because she makes you feel at such each. For my husband to say that was fun and easy I knew I had found the perfect photographer.”
