Iowa Camp Colorful Fall Wedding Day: Florals, Confetti & Dachshunds

Something that I love and appreciate so much about wedding days is all the ways a couple incorporates sentimental details into their own unique day. Each couple has their own special back story, individual histories, things they love, priorities, friends, family, the list goes on — and Leah + Tyler’s day was so THEM. They got married on the grounds of Crooked Creek Christian Camp in Iowa, where they met while being employees during the summertime as high schoolers. What started as co-workers, turned into friendship, turned into love. And the icing on top of the cake? Leah’s own parent’s got married at the same camp back in the day. The layers of sentiment in their venue selection had me googly eyed all day :’) .

Another detail I loved about their day was of course the flowers. Leah’s mom is a florist, so obviously the florals were above and beyond and so incredibly beautiful. Witnessing Leah’s mom finesse the florals thoughout the day was the sweetest love language to witness.

All of the details throughout their wedding day were so intentional and pure fun — the decorations, their pup named Poppy being along all day, the fall color scheme, the confetti exit, planting a tree on the camp’s land (a tradition that the camp prides itself in — anyone who gets married here plants a tree!), the sweet flower girls and their crowns, the singing during the ceremony — truly it was such a sweet and thoroughly thought out day. Check out all of my favorite moments from their day:
