Romantic Boho Beach Wedding in Key Largo, Florida

When two Iowans get married in Key Largo, Florida, you can expect things to be equal parts joyful, laid back, and also romantic. Ashley + Forrest wanted their wedding weekend to be an adventure for their friends and family, and an excuse for their loved ones to have fun and relax by the beach. This was my first Florida wedding, first beach wedding, first big destination wedding. To say I was grateful would be an understatement. :’)

Something you need to notice is how amazing their venue was. They spent their wedding weekend at Baker’s Cay, and it was giving all of the White Lotus vibes (without the crime and drama lol). White walls, beachy upscale architecture, beach access, blue waters, a ceremony location with the perfect view, cocktail hour on the beach, and a reception space that overlooks it all. This venue was the perfect mix of intimate and the wow factor. If you are a guest staying at this hotel venue, there are so many intentional ammenities included such as activities for the family, a beachside bar, fishing off the dock, private beach nooks, and so on. I definitely intend to return here for fun someday!

Venue aside, it was so much fun to work with their team of local vendors. Everyone was intent on making the day easy, beautiful, and fun — and the day was a success! Love a vendor dream team.
